Rubber Coated Webbing - Made in America

This Special Grooved variety of Rubber Duc ™ Coated Webbing has two shaped grooves molded onto the front side of the material that simulate the the stitching on an old fashioned double ply leather strap. From a distance, this material could easily pass for stitched leather strapping. Great for equestrian tack and other harnesses and strap assemblies that for tradition's sake, need to look like 'old school' leatherwork. The grooves also make sewing the material lengthwise, easier; when making a two ply strap.

Constructed of Durable Polyethylene webbing with a breaking strength of 1,000 lbs. completely coated and encased with a matte finish, leather textured, grooved, proprietary Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). Overall thickness of the 100 weight is 0.100″ (2.54mm). Note: lengths over 100 feet may not be one continuous piece.

This material was extensively tested in accordance with ASTM methods and is superior to uncoated webbing and leather in every way. Excellent for outdoor, underwater, and cold weather use. Stays flexible down to -68F below zero. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) this material rates a 7 for Ultraviolet light resistance, and a 7 for abrasion resistance. Grooves appear to be stitching only; but are not actually sewn, they are shallow molded into the surface of the material during manufacturing to give the appearances of sewn, top grain cow hide.

Resists acids, gasoline, oil, lye / caustic soda, sea water and bleach.

This material is an excellent replacement for any leather strap, looks like leather but lasts much longer than leather, without any of the associated maintenance. Great for horse harnesses, purse straps, belts, watch bands; anywhere you would use a leather strap or rubber strap.

Can be sewn, ultrasonic welded, riveted and secured with screws, nuts and washers.
