Tubular webbing has a multitude of uses due to it's high strength and hollow tubular design. Great as a protective covering for cables, tubes, and hoses. Measures 3″ when flat, and approximately 2″ when "tubed", .040″ thick (when flat). Rated tensile strength 2200 Lbs. Note: lengths over 100 feet may not be one continuous piece.
This tubular nylon webbing is also used in conjunction with 1″ regular nylon to make padded straps for backpacks, run the 1″ webbing through the tube along with some 3mm neoprene wetsuit material for a neat way to seal and protect the padding from abrasion. If you need to waterproof the neoprene padding, use some 10 gauge vinyl glued together into a case to avoid stitch holes that would allow water to leak in. After forming the waterproof pouch with the vinyl, insert the whole padding, pouch and webbing assembly into the tubular nylon for a really neat, waterproof, padded, strap.
