Our 1.8 mm Vinyl coated mesh is constructed of polyester fiber that is vinyl coated before being woven into this basket weave style mesh. this pre-weave vinyl coating process produces a mesh with a neater, more refined look and feel than a post-weave vinyl dipped mesh. Post-weave Vinyl dipped mesh consists of a mesh that has already been woven before being dipped in a vat of molten vinyl and then run through steel rollers.

This post-weave dipping process produces a mesh that has irregular holes due to uneven coating in the corners of the holes and where the fibers intersect. Although the overall strength and durability of both these types of mesh is about the same, this 1.8 mm pre-weave vinyl coated mesh just looks and feels better, it is more suitable for applications where aesthetics matter more.
