Waterproof Nylon, Breathable Membrane Fabric

    This is a truly amazing, "cutting edge" composite fabric that helps keeps you dry from rain, and from perspiration. It's composite
 structure allows it to be waterproof
 and breathable at the same time.

The material consists of an outer nylon fabric
 that is semi-permeable to water (allows water
 to escape) , bonded to a special micro-porous 
urethane membrane that is only allows water in
 vapor form to pass through.

This fabric works especially well as a "cold weather
 system" when paired with with our: Micro Fiber
 100% Polyester Fleece with Wickable Finish used
 on the inside to wick moisture away from the
 body & insulate, and this breathable fabric on
 the outside to make it waterproof.

Here's how it works: the outer nylon material is
  coated with a material that makes it nearly
 waterproof, stopping water from the outside from
  soaking into the fabric. The inside micro-porous
  membrane is a specially formulated urethane,
 with microscopic holes throughout the material.
 The holes are so tiny, that water in liquid form,
 can not pass through them, and just beads on
 the surface. However, water in vapor form; like
 perspiration is vaporized by the heat of your 
body into particles many times smaller than 
droplets of liquid water, and is allowed to pass
 through the tiny holes in the membrane.
